Thoughts (Brief): The Mac event this Tuesday (August 7th)

Well there's been a bit of a buzz about this week's Mac announcement at Apple Town Hall in Cupertino, California. Most have been centered around the new iMac, expected to be encased in brushed aluminum with a brand spankin' new keyboard. But what I would really want is an update of the Apple Cinema Displays, and to have LEDs implemented throughout the entire MacBook family. This would offer a redesign opportunity for Apple, as LEDs are much thinner (or they can just make the screen thinner, and increase the thickness of the lower body so they can squeeze better cooling, larger battery, etc). But the Mac mini is the one that deserves an update the most... It's still stuck with Core Duo processors (Core 2 Duos are the thing now). Anyway that's what I want for this Tuesday. Can't get my hopes up.
